Lumbini Group
The word ‘Lumbini’ is a Buddhist pilgrimage site in the Kapilavastu district of Nepal, near the Indian border. In the time of Lord Buddha, Lumbini was a park situated between Kapilavastu and Devadaha. It was there that the Buddha was born. The group is located in Siddharthanagar, city named after Lord Buddha.
During 1990s, it all started with business of Foam industry in partnership. In 1998 the partnership was dissolved and Lumbini Group made its first business venture in Nepal as Lumbini Foam Udyog. As said by Benjamin Franklin “Without continual growth and progress, such words as improvement, achievement, and success have no meaning.” Lumbini Foam Udyog became one of the biggest names in Polyurethane foam business.
With start of year 2002, The Group started trading of Rubberized coir mattresses along with some other furnishing product in the name of Lumbini Overseas trade. In 2004, under the umbrella of Lumbini Group, Lumbini Coir Industries and Lumbini PE sheet Industries was established. Being the foremost introducer of Rubberized Coir Mattress and PE foam in Nepalese soil, Lumbini Group gave its expanding activities a definite direction and a wider dimension, Lumbini Group has repositioned itself as a major player in the comfort industry rather than a leader in just the mattress business. Thus operating on a larger canvas, the company has more room to grow.
In the year 2008, The Group widened its comfort business with addition of siliconized polyester fiber product range for the home furnishing application along with introduction of molded polyurethane for automobile Industry for the first time in Nepal.
Within this year Lumbini Group for the first time stepped into a business for industrial supplies by manufacturing Oxygen & Nitrogen gas for industrial & medical applications.
Addition of a new wing as Lumbini Oxygen Gas Industries not only diversified the working arena for the group but also broadened the horizon to numerous upcoming projects in the future.
We are in this field for the past three decades and are the market leaders. But, we do not want to be overconfident and will always give our best to maintain this dominance. With time, we would like to diversify further in our range of products as well as expand to larger markets and reach unexplored scopes.
